Hawk (first name Sarah, but keep that on the down-low) is an online community and remote work expert of 20+ years and is currently the co-CEO of Discourse ā a 100% remote, globally distributed organization with over 100 employees. Hawk began working as a software developer at Xerox in the 90ās, where her interest in the tech community was sparked, leading to a career change. Her experience as Community Manager of the SitePoint network, Head of Community at UK consultancy FeverBee, and an online community consultant finally led her to joining Discourse, where she now spends her days tackling the challenges of scaling remote work practices.
